Child Care Apprentice -at minimum, High School Diploma or Equivalent and some experience

Mentor – High School Diploma or Equivalent and some experience
This role focuses on establishing positive, supportive relationships with youth dealing with a variety of challenges. Mentors have the opportunity to share knowledge, skills, and life experience to encourage youth to achieve their full potential. Engagement in recreational activities is an essential element of this service as it provides a foundation for community integration and the development of a natural support network. Mentoring targets personal, academic, and vocational development through informal skills-teaching to enhance problem-solving and decision-making with a focus on growth and success. Goals are geared toward developing productive leisure activities, identifying positive social outlets, and linking youth to appropriate resources within the community. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Tutor – High School Diploma or Equivalent and some experience
Ideal for those who are currently in college and interested in teaching, tutors provide individualized guidance and instruction to support youth with becoming independent learners. Whether needing assistance in a particular subject area or to develop basic skills for academic success, this service aims to improve learning strategies to promote achievement.
